12 Yemenis killed by Houthi shelling attack in Taiz
At least 12 civilians were killed and injured on Sunday in a drone strike launched by the Houthi militia on civilian targets in a town in the Maqbanah district, west of Taiz (southwest of Yemen).
The member of the National Investigation Committee, human rights activist Ishraq Al-Maqtari, said that she received statements from the residents of Al-Bumiyah village (affiliated with Al-Barashah district) in Maqbanah district, west of Taiz governorate, stating that the village was subjected to a drone strike carried out by the Houthi group this afternoon.
The human rights activist added that the incident resulted in the death of four civilians, including (Himan Abdul Rahim Muhammad Qaid and Hassan Saeed Ali Hassan), and the injury of eight others, including (Abdo Hamid Ali Salem, Mansour Saeed Qaid Ali, and Iyad Abdul Malik Saeed Qaid).
For its part, local and media sources reported that the wounded were transferred to the Seventh Giants Brigade Medical Center to receive first aid before transferring them to the field hospital in Al-Khokha.
Every now and then, the Houthi militia targets civilian objects in areas adjacent to the contact points in Maqbanah District, causing civilian deaths and injuries.
