Houthi militia steps up offensive actions in Taiz

Houthis resume escalation in Yemen

In recent days, the terrorist Houthi militia has resumed escalation on the fronts of Taiz Governorate, southwest of Yemen.

The Taiz Military Axis said on Monday evening that the terrorist Houthi militia had resumed its military escalation over the past three days on the fronts surrounding the city and the western countryside fronts of the governorate in the Jabal Habashi and Maqbanah directorates, and the Al-Kadha area.

He added in a statement on his Facebook page that the escalation operations included "carrying out offensive actions and targeting army sites with various weapons, in addition to creating new sites, establishing military fortifications, and mobilizing forces, weapons and equipment."

He explained that violent battles took place on Sunday and continued for several hours, in which various types of weapons were used between his forces and the Houthi militia northeast of the city, following an infiltration attempt by militia elements that the army was able to repel. His forces also repelled another infiltration attempt on the Asifrah front, north of the city.

This comes in conjunction with new escalation operations by the militia on various fronts throughout the country, in a blatant challenge to all international and regional efforts aimed at stopping the escalation and entering into a negotiation process to end the conflict that has been going on for a decade.
