In a photo... Mohamed Salah breaks his silence after announcing his departure from Liverpool
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah broke his silence for the first time since announcing his departure from the Premier League champions at the end of the current season, in a shocking surprise to Reds fans.
Last night, Salah posted a new photo of himself looking at his trophy cabinet at home, which represents all the achievements he has accomplished with Liverpool throughout his nine-year career. He is seen standing in front of a large collection of trophies and awards, a scene that reflects the magnitude of his successes in a Liverpool shirt. He added no caption, letting the photo speak for itself.

The photo received a great deal of attention, with the Premier League reposting it with the comment: "Isn't he a legend?" Salah had announced his departure in a video posted on social media last Tuesday evening, after winning numerous team titles, including two Premier League titles, the Champions League, and the Club World Cup.
Individually, he has won the Premier League Player of the Year award seven times and the Golden Boot four times. He has also been named Footballer of the Year by the Football Writers' Association three times and by the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Player of the Year three times.
Salah reached an agreement with Liverpool to leave on a free transfer at the end of the current season, despite his contract running until June 2027. Mohamed Salah has been linked with potential destinations such as the Saudi Professional League, Major League Soccer (MLS), and several European clubs.
Salah is expected to officially announce his next destination before the start of the 2026 World Cup. He will represent Egypt at the 2026 World Cup, where the Pharaohs are in Group G with Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand.
