Barcelona star Gavi sparked widespread reactions on social media after appearing with his girlfriend, Ana Pelayo, at the Catalan club's La Liga title ceremony on Sunday. The pair were seen embracing and touring the stadium together.

Barcelona won the La Liga title despite losing 3-2 to Villarreal, after securing a 3-2 victory over Espanyol on Thursday. Gavi, 20, played a key role in helping Hansi Flick's team achieve the domestic treble. The Spanish international met Ana, a 22-year-old student from Seville, through his sister, Aurora.

Ana stayed by Gavi's side during his difficult period, as he returned in September from a serious knee injury and surgery that sidelined him for ten months, missing Spain's Euro 2024 victory last summer. Rumors of the couple's romance first surfaced last summer when she shared a photo of herself strolling with Gavi's mother and sister.

Gavi and Ana have become an increasingly popular couple in Spain and beyond – he has 17.9 million Instagram followers, while Ana has 270,000. Ana was also on the pitch with Gavi last month after Barcelona's 3-2 Copa del Rey final victory over Real Madrid.

Barcelona's match against Villarreal on Sunday saw celebratory scenes as the Catalan club lifted the trophy at their temporary home, Montjuïc. The stars were then joined on the pitch by their families and friends.
