3 Yemeni Civilians killed by Houthi mines

Houthi Crimes Against Yemeni People

Two incidents of mine explosions left by the terrorist Houthi militia resulted in the death and injury of three civilians in the city of Hodeidah (western Yemen).

Human rights activist Mujahid Al-Qab said early Monday that the citizen (Saleh Mujammal - 44 years old) was killed by a Houthi mine explosion while he was working collecting minerals east of the 7th of July neighborhood in Al-Hali Directorate, northeast of Hodeidah.

He added in a post on the X platform that the victim, "Majmal", was the head of a family of five, and was forced to work collecting minerals after the militia recently displaced them from their home in the village of Manzar in the Al-Hawak district, south of the city.

Al-Qab, who is an activist in monitoring mine victims in the governorate, confirmed that the two young men (Ahmed Saif - 30 years old) and (Abdul Rahman Badi - 23 years old) were also seriously injured in another incident, which led to their loss of sight as a result of shrapnel from a mine camouflaged as a tube penetrating their faces, in addition to other injuries to the chest and shoulders.

The incident comes amid the continued random planting of mines by the terrorist Houthi militia in residential and agricultural areas along the coastal strip in Al Hudaydah Governorate, which poses a continuous threat to the lives of civilians.

Al Hudaydah Governorate is one of the Yemeni governorates most affected by mines planted by the Houthi militia on a large scale in the governorate. Their incidents have resulted in the death and injury of 74 civilians, including children and women, since the beginning of this year until the end of last October, according to the latest reports of the UN mission.
