In a surprising move, American actor Ben Affleck has officially relinquished his entire stake in the $60 million Beverly Hills mansion he purchased with his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, giving her the property "for free."

According to court documents, the couple amended their property settlement agreement to include a clause for "transfer of ownership between spouses." While the documents did not reveal precise details, informed sources confirmed that Ben Affleck transferred his entire stake to Lopez without any financial compensation, as reported by TMZ on Friday.

Some reports attribute this "unexpected generosity" to Affleck's recent strong financial position, particularly after the sale of his artificial intelligence company to Netflix for approximately $600 million. This put him in a comfortable financial situation and allowed him to directly terminate any remaining financial ties with Lopez.

The couple purchased the mansion in May 2023 for $60.8 million in cash, in addition to spending significant sums on maintenance and renovations. However, the property was put up for sale in July 2024, a month before Lopez filed for divorce, but failed to attract a buyer despite reducing the price from $68 million to $52 million.

Currently, Lopez is residing in the mansion temporarily while she completes her new home. This concession may give her an opportunity to reap future financial gains when the property is sold.

It is worth noting that Lopez and Affleck's marriage, which lasted nearly two years, officially ended after she filed for divorce in August 2024, with April 2023 being the date of the actual separation. The proceedings were settled in January 2025 without mutual financial obligations, with Lopez regaining her legal name.
