A brilliant display from Lamine Yamal leads Barcelona to a resounding victory over Espanyol

Lamine Yamal scored one goal and set up two others to lead his team, Barcelona, ​​to a resounding 4-1 victory over their city rivals, Espanyol, and move a step closer to retaining the Spanish league title on Saturday.

The young player, making his 100th appearance in the competition, provided two assists for teammate Ferran Torres, who scored Barcelona's two goals against their visitors in the first half.

In the second half, Espanyol reduced the deficit through Pol Lozano in the 65th minute, but Yamal restored the two-goal lead after intercepting a pass from the goalkeeper and celebrating before slotting the ball into the net in the 87th minute. 

Two minutes later, he played a brilliant pass to his Dutch teammate Frenkie de Jong, who delivered a cross that substitute Marcus Rashford headed home.

Barcelona extended their lead at the top of the table to 79 points, nine points ahead of their pursuers Real Madrid, with seven rounds remaining in the competition.
