"The Man in the Hat": Los Angeles to Host World Premiere
The American city of Los Angeles is preparing to host the world premiere of the documentary "The Man in the Hat." The premiere will take place on January 10 at the historic Lido Theatre.
The film chronicles the life and work of Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawass and his discoveries that have enhanced the global standing of Egyptian civilization. The premiere will be held on January 10 at the historic Lido Theatre in Newport Beach, with two consecutive screenings: the first at 2:00 PM and the second at 7:00 PM.
Each screening will be followed by a panel discussion led by experts, and then a book signing with Dr. Zahi Hawass, attended by the film's director, Jeffrey Roth, and the production team. Director Jeffrey Roth, of Playground Productions, confirmed that the film took two years to complete to ensure it meets the high standards befitting Hawass's international stature.
Roth described the film as one of the company's biggest productions, despite his previous experience documenting prominent figures such as American presidents and astronauts.
The premiere is expected to be a major cultural event, with the participation of American film stars, the Egyptian ambassador, intellectuals, academics, and international archaeologists. The film joins previous works documenting Hawass's career, including the National Geographic documentary "King of the Pyramids" and the Italian film "The Egyptian."
Hawass announced the film's premiere on his official Facebook page, saying: "I am delighted to announce to the world, for the first time, that a new Hollywood documentary about my life and career, titled 'The Man in the Hat,' will have its world premiere. I will be traveling to Los Angeles to attend the screenings with director Jeffrey Roth and the production team."
