Musk's Dangerous Prediction.. Robots Will Outnumber Humans

Tesla CEO Elon Musk told the World Economic Forum in Davos that robots will outnumber humans. In Davos, Musk reiterated his prediction that robots will fulfill all human needs, including caring for children, the elderly, and pets.

CBS News quoted Musk as saying he envisions a day when robots are "everywhere," which he said would create a "massive boom in the global economy."

Musk asserted that "the future of the global economy will be dominated by artificial intelligence and robots." He predicted that AI will be "smarter than any human by the end of this year, and I would say no later than next year."

Musk confirmed that the company will launch its humanoid robots, Optimus, by the end of next year. He noted that the robots were already performing simple tasks in the company's electric vehicle manufacturing.

Musk explained that Tesla will begin marketing Optimus, but only "when we are absolutely confident in its extremely high reliability, extremely high level of safety, and extremely high range of functions." He concluded, "Basically, you can ask it to do anything you want."
