Egyptian club Pyramids FC crowned African Super Cup champions for the first time in their history, after defeating their Moroccan counterparts, Renaissance Berkane, 1-0 on Saturday evening.
Fiston Maile scored the only goal of the match in the 75th minute, taking advantage of a pass from Moroccan right-back Mohamed El-Sheibi, who collected the ball in the Berkane defense and passed it to the Congolese player, who fired a powerful low shot into the net. Pyramids FC became the third Egyptian team to win the title, after giants Zamalek and Al Ahly.
