Chelsea offers €50 million to sign young Barcelona star Fermin Lopez

Chelsea made an official offer to Barcelona for young midfielder Fermin Lopez, days before the summer transfer window closed. Spanish newspaper Sport reported that Chelsea had made an offer of €50 million to sign the Spanish international. Sport indicated that the Catalan club's sporting director, Deco, is studying the details of the Blues' offer.

Fermin is also aware that the possibility of joining Stamford Bridge this summer is on the table. The interests of coach Hansi Flick, who is reluctant to let go of any player, clash with the club's needs, which is seeking a major deal to meet Financial Fair Play requirements, while the players have expressed their desire to remain with the Catalan club.

The Blaugrana believes that selling Fermín for this amount will temporarily solve all of the club's financial problems, in addition to signing some new signings such as Wojciech Szczesny, Gerard Martin, and Ronnie Bardji.

Sport reported that Fermín did not participate in the Levante match, and Hansi Flick, who does not want him to leave, was seen speaking to him to reassure him. However, the decision to accept or reject the offer rests with Fermín, who considers Barcelona "the club of his life." He can either choose to stay and try to establish himself as a key player in the attacking midfield, or take on a new challenge with Chelsea in the Premier League.
