Salah Decides to Stay with Liverpool

A moment Liverpool fans have been waiting for: Salah decides to stay

The long period of anticipation surrounding the future of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah with Liverpool has ended after The Times newspaper revealed on Wednesday that the striker had agreed with his club to extend his contract before the end of his current deal in June.

Mohamed Salah entered the free transfer window with the Reds on January 1 and was linked with a move away from Anfield at the end of the season. However, The Times newspaper revealed on Wednesday that he will remain with the team after agreeing with the club's management to continue.

Salah said at the beginning of the current season that he was "more outside the club than inside it" and that the club had not offered him a renewal. After the Manchester City match, he said that he had played his last game against them, indicating that he was close to leaving the team.

Salah joined Liverpool in the summer of 2017 from Roma for €40 million. He has made 394 appearances for the team, scoring 243 goals, and has won eight titles, including the English Premier League and the Champions League.
