Liverpool Rejects €67 Million from Bayern Munich to Sell Team Star

Press reports have revealed that Liverpool have rejected a €67.5 million bid from Bayern Munich for Colombian Luis Diaz.

The Associated Press reported that the German champions' €67.5 million ($78.5 million) offer was immediately rejected, in line with the club's stance on rejecting an offer from Barcelona earlier in the summer. Diaz is in the final two years of his contract with Liverpool, and while talks over a new contract have not progressed, the English club insists he remains an important player and has informed interested clubs.

Just a few weeks ago, Diaz hinted at the uncertainty surrounding his future, claiming his representatives were publicly discussing his options.Last month, he said, "We are currently in contact with Liverpool because we are talking to clubs, and that is normal in an open transfer market."

He added, "We are trying to make the decision that is best for us." Diaz was heavily criticized by some Liverpool fans after he missed the funeral of his Portuguese teammate Diogo Jota while attending an entertainment event.
