Manchester United gave their arch-rivals Liverpool a precious gift, and brought them a new step closer to winning the English Premier League title, after they tied with runner-up Arsenal 1-1 on Sunday in the top match of the 28th round of the competition.

Portuguese Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring for Manchester United in the second minute of stoppage time in the first half, while Declan Rice scored the equalizer for Arsenal in the 74th minute.

Arsenal, who remained without a win for the third match in a row in the competition, remained in second place with 55 points from 28 matches, 15 points behind leaders Liverpool, who dream of winning their 20th title in the tournament and equaling United's historic record.

On the other hand, Manchester United, who achieved only two wins in their last seven matches in the tournament, now have 34 points in fourteenth place.
