Houthis' looting of Hodeidah seaport revenues

Yemeni government reveals the extent of Houthi looting

The Yemeni government revealed the extent of the terrorist Houthi militia's looting of the revenues of the port of Hodeidah, which is under the control of the militia.

The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, said that the terrorist Houthi militia continues to mislead the Yemeni public opinion and the international community, by manipulating the reality of the numbers and the huge sums that it plunders from the revenues of oil derivatives coming through the port of Hodeidah only.

Muammar Al-Eryani explained that the revenues earned by the terrorist Houthi militia from oil derivatives coming through the port of Hodeidah are sufficient to regularly finance the payment of public employees and retirees in the areas under the militia's control.

Al-Eryani indicated that the number of ships loaded with oil derivatives that have been authorized to enter, and their cargo has already been unloaded in the port of Hodeidah since the announcement of the UN armistice on April 2, 2022 until Monday, corresponding to August 14, 2023, has reached 157 ships, with a total tonnage of (4,098,067).
