Legendary Rolling Stones Release New Album

The legendary British rock band, the Rolling Stones, announced the release of their new album, "Foreign Tongs," on July 10th, and previewed excerpts from it at a public event held Tuesday in New York.

"Yes, we're still having a lot of fun!" said Mick Jagger, along with Keith Richards, who co-founded the Rolling Stones in London in 1962, and Ronnie Wood, who joined the band in 1975.

The three British musicians briefly discussed their latest work during a session with talk show host and comedian Conan O'Brien, in front of journalists and guests gathered at a historic former bank building in North Brooklyn.

"Foreign Tongs" is the Rolling Stones' 25th studio album. Their last album, "Hackney Diamonds," released in 2023, received positive reviews and performed well financially, giving the band a creative boost after 18 years without an original studio album. As with their previous album, the band reunited with American producer Andrew Watt, one of the most prominent producers of the moment.

"Those were the best days of my life... I'm their biggest fan in the world," he told AFP, referring to the month he spent in London recording with the band. Mick Jagger said that one month to produce an album "isn't a long time," adding, "Sometimes we'd spend months in the studio without leaving... It's a different way of working."
