Following the controversy sparked by young footballer Lamine Yamal raising the Palestinian flag during the team's parade celebrating their Spanish league title win, Barcelona coach Hansi Flick commented, considering it a "personal choice."

Flick said during a press conference on Tuesday, "It's his personal choice; he's an adult." He added, "We dedicate ourselves to football, and we must consider what the fans expect from us."

However, he clarified that he "doesn't usually approve of such actions," but reiterated that it was his personal choice, according to local media reports.

This came after photographers captured an image of 18-year-old Lamine waving a Palestinian flag from the team bus during Barcelona's celebratory parade through the city streets.

It's worth noting that the Catalan team secured their 29th La Liga title last Sunday, defeating Real Madrid 2-0 at the iconic Camp Nou stadium. Lamine also claimed his third league title with the Catalan club, finishing as the joint top scorer in the competition with 16 goals, alongside Ferran Torres.
