Salah, a victim of "time"... and the "sarcastic smile" says it all

The Liverpool-focused website "This Is Anfield" expressed surprise at Egyptian star Mohamed Salah's behavior after leaving the Nottingham Forest match with a sarcastic smile, suggesting that the prolific goalscorer has become the latest victim of time, alluding to his advancing age.

The English website wrote: Mohamed Salah had nothing to complain about after leaving the City Ground on Sunday; in fact, he did so with a "sarcastic smile."

It continued: He didn't have a shot on target, created one chance, and only 69% of his passes were accurate. The truth is, this is a poor performance that warranted him staying on the pitch for less than 77 minutes.

He added: Mohamed Salah is experiencing his longest goal drought in the Premier League, having gone nine games without scoring. Unfortunately, this situation is becoming increasingly common, and it would be best if the Egyptian star left Liverpool this summer.

He concluded: The day Salah leaves will undoubtedly be a sad one, but time waits for no one. And Mo is the latest victim.
