Nvidia Prepares to Launch a Shocking Chip in 2026

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang revealed that the company is preparing to announce a major new chip at GTC 2026. Huang described the chip as one that will push current technology to its limits, without revealing technical details or the device's official name.

Reveal Date and Expected Details

The chip is scheduled to be announced during Huang's keynote address in San Jose on March 16, 2026. It is expected that Nvidia will focus heavily on its next-generation Vera Rubin architecture, a key platform for future AI systems, according to a report by Gizmochina.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that the chip will utilize advanced packaging techniques aimed at addressing memory bottlenecks, one of the most significant challenges in modern AI computing.

Nvidia is also expected to collaborate with SK Hynix on HBM4 high-bandwidth memory technology, which allows memory to be stacked directly on GPU chips. This could make it one of the most complex designs in semiconductor history if mass production is successful.

Rumors and Speculation About the Future Architecture

Some rumors have suggested an early preview of the future Feynman architecture, expected later this decade. While this seems unlikely at the moment, speculation persists given the company's ambitious roadmap, which includes advanced manufacturing processes and silicon photonics.

Huang also hinted at the possibility of announcing several new chips at GTC 2026, making this event one of the most anticipated launches for Nvidia in recent years.
