Salah's Disastrous Start to Liverpool's New Contract

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah had a disastrous night against Crystal Palace in the Community Shield on Sunday, which the latter won on penalties after the Pharaohs missed one of their chances.

The match began with Liverpool leading twice. Frenchman Ugo Ekitike scored the first goal before his compatriot Philippe Mateta equalized from the penalty spot. The Reds were disgraced by scoring the second goal from a cross by Dutchman Jeremie Frimpong. Sarr continued his impressive form by scoring the second goal after being responsible for the penalty for the first goal.

In the penalty shootout, Salah, Alexis Mac Allister, and Harvey Elliott missed Liverpool's penalties, while Eze and Sousa missed theirs, securing the title for the Eagles. Salah's disastrous performance didn't stop with the penalty shootout. He failed to complete any of his six attempts, completed only 13 of 20 accurate passes, and lost possession 12 times. This was his worst match since renewing his contract last April.
