Case Details
The details of the case boil down to the couple, along with his sister and her husband, deceiving several individuals, deluding them into believing their money would be invested in profitable investments in various fields, such as car trading and real estate.
While the investors believed they would receive monthly returns on their investments, they eventually discovered they had fallen victim to an elaborate fraud scheme.
Blogger Hadeer Atef, who rose to fame on social media platforms, particularly TikTok, had exploited her digital platforms to attract hundreds of victims and collect huge sums of money from them.
According to the Public Prosecution's investigations, monthly dividends were initially paid to investors, which helped build trust between the company and the victims. However, these dividends stopped after a short period, leading to the case exploding and a broader investigation.
In previous sessions, Hadeer Atef's defense attorney requested a re-examination of the surveillance cameras surrounding his client's villa in the Fifth Settlement, where she was arrested, in addition to summoning several witnesses for the prosecution and defense.
The defense also submitted a request to download the contents of Hadeer's phone and discuss with a technical expert her social media posts, which included calls for citizens to invest their money.
