US President Donald Trump arrived at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to attend the Club World Cup final between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. Trump's Marine One helicopter was also seen landing near the stadium about 35 minutes before kickoff, according to US media reports.

Heightened Security Measures

The president's presence prompted authorities to impose heightened security measures for the final of the newly expanded tournament, with spectators subjected to more stringent searches than ever at previous matches at the stadium. Media personnel and journalists, who had not been searched by volunteers at previous matches, were also searched.

A heavy police presence was present at MetLife Stadium, along with Secret Service agents, for the match, which was attended by approximately 70,000 spectators. Photographers were asked to open all their equipment bags. It's worth noting that MetLife Stadium will also host the World Cup final next year on July 29, 2026. US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner were also waiting for the president's arrival.
