The Ministry called on all parties who show no regard for the scale of the suffering of the Sudanese people to respect their obligations under international law, the Jeddah Declaration, and the mechanisms of the Allied to Promote Lifesaving and Peace in Sudan (ALPS) platform. It also called on the UAE to take immediate steps to protect civilians and facilitate the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid by all available means and without hindrance.
The Ministry affirmed that no party has the right to obstruct the delivery of life-saving aid, noting that the use of relief work and humanitarian aid as a weapon is condemned. In this context, the UAE calls on the United Nations to prevent either party to the conflict from exploiting humanitarian aid for military or political purposes.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reiterated the UAE's position calling for a peaceful solution to the ongoing conflict in Sudan, the need for an immediate ceasefire, and the UAE's unwavering commitment to supporting efforts to address this catastrophic crisis and to working collectively with regional and international partners to ensure stability and peace for the brotherly Sudanese people.
