How did COVID-19 leak from a Wuhan lab? The White House reveals...

The White House launches a webpage about the "coronavirus leak" and indicates that there is ample evidence that "the virus originated in a laboratory in Wuhan, China."

The White House launched a new webpage on its official website on Friday about the origins of the coronavirus (COVID-19), supporting the theory that the COVID-19 virus originated in a laboratory.

Similar to the famous leaking website WikiLeaks, the page is named "Lab Leaks." The page displays the title in capital letters with a picture of President Donald Trump, with the US president standing between the words with a stern face.

The page accused the media, politicians, health authorities, and US immunologist Anthony Fauci of spreading the theory that "the virus emerged naturally." The page also stated that there is ample evidence that "the virus originated in a laboratory in Wuhan, China."

The White House's website highlighted five points:

1. The virus possesses a biological characteristic not found in nature.

2. Data indicates that all COVID-19 cases are the result of a single introduction into humans. This contrasts with previous epidemics that saw widespread transmission.

3. Wuhan is home to China's most important SARS research lab, which has a long history of conducting gain-of-function (GenE) research (gene modification and organism stimulation) with inadequate biosafety levels.

4. Researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) developed COVID-like symptoms in the fall of 2019, months before COVID-19 was discovered on the market.

5. By almost all scientific standards, if there had been evidence of a natural origin, it would have emerged by now. But it did not.

It is worth noting that, more than five years after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, it remains unclear whether the virus jumped from animals to humans or originated in a laboratory in China.
