Houthi militia kidnaps hundreds of residents
Human rights sources confirmed that the terrorist Houthi militia launched a wide-scale kidnapping campaign after storming the village of Hanakat Al Masoud in Al Qurayshiyah District in Al Bayda Governorate (central Yemen), targeting hundreds of civilians, including children and the elderly.
The sources told "Yemeni Youth Net" that the Houthi campaign kidnapped more than 400 civilians, including a large number of elderly people and children.
The sources added that the militia transferred about 340 abductees to the Rada'a Security Department prison in the Al-Kamb area, and 60 others to the central prison in Rada'a.
The sources indicated that the militia forcibly displaced women and children from their homes and looted everything valuable in the homes.
The militia admitted in a statement published by its security media, to the murders and kidnappings that targeted the sons of Hanaka Al Masoud, whom it described as "criminal elements affiliated with ISIS," which is the accusation that the militia usually attaches to civilians and tribes that its crimes target.
Human rights and local sources revealed yesterday, Sunday, that the Houthi militia had booby-trapped, burned, blown up and looted 22 homes after storming the village following a stifling siege and intense shelling that it had launched on the village for more than a week.
